My fingernails claw into this calloused hide
Exposing every decayed layer of me
Each scar I carve describes what lies behind this reflection of mine
The flame burning
within the darkness spilling from me

But I have bled myself dry
And with this scarlet ink
Draining from my lifeless corpse
I've transcribed an epitaph for the man I leave behind
A sacrifice of flesh
I lay this burning heart to rest

Shed of this serpent skin I am reborn
Cut from my siamese twin
My destroyer
Baptized in dissolution
Unwavering, I bow to none
Embrace my evolution
Sacrifice it all to heal the One

This apparition obscene yet tranquil haunting me
Ghost of the destroyer
Consume this disease
Bury my harlequin
Devour this sin
The intimate caress of armageddon
It has opened my eyes
Peeled back the flesh and peered inside my mind
